Conditions for granting medical practice certificates

[1] Have one of the following diplomas or certificates appropriate to the form of medical practice:

- Medical-related professional degree granted or recognized in Vietnam;

- Certificate of medical practitioner;

- Certificate of being a person with a traditional medicine recipe or traditional treatment method.

[2] Have a document confirming the practice process, except in the case of a traditional physician, a person with a traditional medicine prescription or a traditional treatment method.

[3] Have a certificate of good health to practice medicine.

[4] Not being in the case of being banned from practicing or doing work related to medical and pharmaceutical expertise according to a court verdict or decision; being prosecuted for criminal liability; being in the period of serving a criminal sentence, a court's criminal decision or a decision to apply administrative measures to be sent to an educational institution or medical facility; being in the period of being disciplined from the form of warning or higher related to medical examination and treatment expertise; losing or having limited civil act capacity.

[2] Meet the requirements on language use in medical examination and treatment as prescribed in Article 23 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2009.

[3] Have a criminal record certified by a competent authority of the host country.

[4] Have a work permit issued by a competent state agency on labor of Vietnam in accordance with the provisions of labor law.
