Traveling in Vietnam offers many exciting experiences, but also poses challenges for tourists. This article lists 10 common incidents tourists encounter, from lost luggage, traffic issues to cultural differences. Learn preventive measures to make your trip safer and more enjoyable.
Common incidents that tourists encounter include: QForgot your passport, damaged or broken things in the hotel, lost your way... or had an accident on the way to travel.
In a study just conducted in the first half of October, the tourism website of Express pointed out that more than 6 out of 10 people encounter "something" unfortunate while traveling. Below are the problems people most often have, according to survey results.
1. Forgot an essential item (sunscreen, phone charger, underwear, passport...)
2. Bring clothes that are contrary to the weather conditions when you arrive (for example, thinking that the place is cold, bringing cold clothes and getting there it is not cold or it is raining but do not bring an umbrella).
3. Breaking/damaging something at the hotel
4. Get lost, get stuck in traffic, and miss your flight/train
5. Being stung by something (like jellyfish, bees, bedbugs...); are sick, have allergies or food poisoning or are injured and need medical treatment
6. Discovering that you left an item on the plane
7. Lost passport
8. Exchange foreign currency in advance to spend on the trip, and leave it at home
9. Book the wrong hotel, travel date or arrive at the wrong destination
10. Holding someone else's luggage by mistake at the airport or discovering that your children have replaced all the contents of the suitcase with their own toys.
Besides, the survey also showed that 20% of respondents did not check important and necessary information when traveling. 32% said they make trips more likely to have problems because of hasty preparations.
