This article will help you understand the necessary components of the adoption profile when adopting an intended adoptee in Vietnam. We will provide detailed information on the documents to prepare and the important legal requirements to ensure a smooth and legal adoption process.
Article 13 of Decree No. 19/2011/ND-CP (amended and supplemented) stipulates the adoption profile of the intended adoptee as follows:
When submitting the profile at the Adoption Department, the intended adoptee as specified in Clause 2 Article 28 of the Adoption Law must submit 01 set of the profile of the adoptee and depending on the case must also have the following corresponding documents:
1. A copy of the marriage certificate of the stepfather or stepmother with the birth mother or birth father of the adoptee.
2. Documents to prove that the adoptee is the aunt, uncle, or blood-related relative of the intended adoptee.
3. A copy of the decision of the competent authority of Vietnam for the adoptee to adopt in Vietnam and documents to prove the relationship between the adoptee and the adopted child as siblings.
4. Documents to prove that the adopted child falls under one of the cases specified in Clause 1, Article 3 of this Decree.
5. Confirmation document from the People's Committee or Police Department of the commune where the adopter resides in Vietnam and other documents to prove that the adopter is a foreigner working, studying continuously in Vietnam for at least 01 year, from the date of submission of the profile at the Adoption Department.
