According to Article 59 of the 2023 Law on Consumer Protection, the rights and responsibilities of the parties in the negotiation process are prescribed as follows:
1. During the negotiation process, consumers and business organizations and individuals have the following rights:
a) Agree or refuse to participate in negotiations according to the provisions of this Law;
b) Choose the time and form of negotiation;
c) Request to suspend or terminate negotiations;
d) Request to keep the negotiation confidential;
d) Be free to express your will about the content of negotiation;
e) Other rights according to the provisions of this Law and other relevant laws.
2. During the negotiation process, consumers and business organizations and individuals have the following responsibilities:
a) Conduct negotiations in accordance with the law and in accordance with social ethics, civic rights and responsibilities, and business culture;
b) Present truthfully the details of the dispute, provide information and documents related to the dispute;
c) Implement successful negotiation results on the principles of honesty and good faith;
d) Other responsibilities according to the provisions of this Law and other relevant laws.
