Article 8 of Decree 112/2013/ND-CP stipulates the rights and obligations of deportees as follows:
1. The deported person has the right to:
- Be informed of the reason for deportation and receive the deportation decision at least 48 hours before execution;
- Contact the diplomatic and consular representative agencies of your country for protection and assistance;
- Be provided with separate food, clothing and living arrangements while waiting for deportation procedures;
- Allowed to legally bring assets out of Vietnam territory;
- To make complaints and denunciations according to the provisions of law on handling complaints and denunciations.
2. The deported person has the obligation to:
- Fully comply with the provisions of the deportation decision;
- Present identification documents as required by immigration authorities;
- Comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law and be subject to the management of the police during the deportation procedures;
- Promptly and fully comply with civil, administrative and economic obligations as prescribed by law (if any);
- Complete the necessary procedures to leave Vietnam territory.
