This article provides information on the time that foreigners can return to Vietnam after being deported. Pursuant to Clause 5, Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014, the following cases are not allowed to enter the country:
Cases not allowed to enter the country
1. Not meeting the conditions specified in Clause 1, Article 20 of this Law.
2. Children under 14 years old not accompanied by a parent, guardian or authorized person.
3. Forging documents, making false statements to obtain documents valid for entry, exit, or residence.
4. People with mental illness or infectious diseases that endanger public health.
5. Being expelled from Vietnam within 03 years from the effective date of the deportation decision.
6. Forced to leave Vietnam within 06 months from the effective date of the decision to force the exit.
7. For reasons of disease prevention and control.
8. Due to natural disasters.
9. For reasons of national defense, security, order and social safety.
Thus, foreigners who are deported within less than 03 years from the effective date of the deportation decision will not be allowed to return to Vietnam.
Therefore, foreigners who are deported and want to return to Vietnam must wait 3 years from the effective date of the deportation decision and meet the conditions according to the regulations on entry to be allowed to enter Vietnam.
