This article provides detailed information on which areas are considered restricted areas in civil aviation activities. Learn about areas such as airports, non-movement control areas, and other sensitive areas where access is restricted for security reasons. This information helps employees and passengers understand more about aviation security measures and compliance with legal regulations to ensure safety.
According to Clause 1, Article 31 of Circular No. 13/2019/TT-BGTVT, based on the actual infrastructure and civil aviation activities, the following restricted areas must be established:
- Passenger areas after undergoing personal and baggage security screening waiting to board the aircraft (quarantine area), the area from the security checkpoint for internal personnel before entering the restricted area within the terminal;
- Aircraft parking areas, taxiways, runways, and other areas within the airport (airport);
- Baggage handling areas that have undergone aviation security checks before being loaded onto the aircraft (baggage sorting area);
- Transit passenger areas, waiting for connecting flights (transit area);
- Cargo handling areas that have undergone security screening to load onto the aircraft (cargo sorting, storage, loading areas);
- Guesthouses serving charter flights, priority flights;
- Passenger baggage pickup areas in the terminal;
- Aircraft maintenance, repair, installation areas;
- Production, processing, supply of meals areas;
- Fuel storage areas for aircraft;
- Air cargo emergency centers; National aviation emergency centers;
- Long-haul control centers, access control facilities, air traffic flow management centers;
- Airport control towers, non-movement control stations, flight operations information stations;
- Airport power supply, water supply stations (outside the restricted terminal areas, airport);
- Areas from checked baggage screening points into the terminal;
- Areas from cargo screening points to be transported by aircraft into the terminal, warehouse;
- Installation areas for central control equipment of terminal technical systems, airports, gate access control, terminal entry and exit management, security monitoring rooms with cameras; places housing the broadcasting, television broadcasting system of airports, terminals; places hosting server systems serving airport operations.
