This article helps you understand the responsibilities of businesses in providing information about products and services to consumers, starting from July 1, 2024. These regulations aim to ensure transparency and protect customer rights in all commercial transactions.
From July 1, 2024, providing information about products, goods, services, form contracts, and general transaction conditions to consumers will apply according to the provisions of Law on Consumer Rights Protection 2023, specifically as follows:
Business organizations and individuals are responsible for providing information about products, goods, services, form contracts, and general transaction conditions to consumers as follows:
(i) Provide accurate and complete information about the following contents:
- Products, goods, services, including: measurement, quantity, volume, quality, uses, price, origin of goods, shelf life, fees, costs, methods, deadlines Delivery, shipping method, payment.
- Business organizations and individuals.
- Consumer comments and assessments about products, goods, services, business organizations and individuals (if any).
(ii) Carry out labeling of goods to ensure honesty, clarity, accuracy, and reflect the true nature of the goods according to the provisions of law.
(iii) List prices according to the law on prices.
(iv) Provide information about the ability to supply replacement parts and accessories for products and goods.
(v) Provide instructions for use; Warranty policy as prescribed in Article 30 of this Law in case products, goods and services have warranty;
(vi) Transparency of information about ingredients, functions, and distinct benefits for products and goods produced and services provided specifically for each gender;
(vii) Inform consumers accurately and completely about sample contracts and general transaction conditions before making transactions.
