In the effort to protect the environment, Vietnamese law clearly outlines prohibited activities to prevent negative impacts on the environment. This article will help you understand these activities and the importance of complying with these regulations.
According to Article 6 of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 stipulates prohibited acts in environmental protection activities, specifically as follows:
1. Transporting, burying, dumping, dumping, burning solid waste and hazardous waste not in accordance with technical procedures and legal regulations on environmental protection.
2. Discharging wastewater and exhaust gases that have not been treated to meet environmental technical regulations into the environment.
3. Distributing and releasing into the environment toxic substances, harmful viruses capable of infecting humans, animals, untested microorganisms, animal carcasses caused by epidemics and other toxic agents for human, biological and natural health.
4. Causing noise and vibration exceeding permissible levels according to environmental technical regulations; discharge smoke, dust, and gases with toxic odors into the air.
5. Implementing investment projects or discharging waste without meeting the conditions prescribed by law on environmental protection.
6. Import, temporary import, re-export, and transit of waste from abroad in any form.
7. Illegally importing used vehicles, machinery, and equipment for demolition and recycling.
8. Failure to implement projects, measures, and activities to prevent, respond to, and overcome environmental incidents in accordance with the law on environmental protection and other relevant laws.
9. Concealing acts of polluting the environment, obstructing, falsifying information, cheating in environmental protection activities leading to negative consequences for the environment.
10. Producing and trading products that are harmful to human health, creatures and nature; Production and use of raw materials and construction materials containing toxic elements exceeding the allowable level according to environmental technical regulations.
11. Production, import, temporary import, re-export and consumption of substances that deplete the ozone layer according to the provisions of the international treaty on substances that deplete the ozone layer by the Socialist Republic Vietnam is a member.
12. Illegally destroying and invading natural heritage.
13. Destroying and invading works, equipment and vehicles serving environmental protection activities.
14. Taking advantage of positions and powers to violate the law on environmental protection.
