In environmental protection activities, several acts are prohibited to prevent negative impacts on ecosystems and human health. These acts include illegal waste disposal, over-exploitation of resources, and destruction of natural environments. The law clearly stipulates penalties for such violations, ensuring that all individuals and organizations are responsible for protecting our living environment.
Article 6 of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 prohibits the following acts in environmental protection activities:

1 | Transporting, burying, dumping, burning solid waste and hazardous waste not in accordance with technical procedures and legal regulations on environmental protection |
2 | Discharging wastewater and exhaust gases that have not been treated to meet environmental technical standards into the environment |
3 | Dispersing and releasing into the environment toxic substances, toxic viruses capable of infecting humans, animals, untested microorganisms, animal carcasses caused by epidemics and other toxic agents to human, biological and natural health |
4 | Causing noise and vibration exceeding permissible levels according to environmental technical regulations; discharge smoke, dust, and gases with toxic odors into the air |
5 | Implementing investment/waste discharge projects without meeting the conditions prescribed by law on environmental protection |
6 | Import, temporary import, re-export, and transit of waste from abroad in any form |
7 | Illegally importing used vehicles, machinery and equipment for demolition and recycling |
8 | Failure to implement projects, measures, and activities to prevent, respond to, and overcome environmental incidents in accordance with the law on environmental protection and other relevant laws. |
9 | Concealing acts that pollute the environment, obstructing, falsifying information, and cheating in environmental protection activities leading to negative consequences for the environment |
10 | Producing and trading products that are harmful to human health, creatures and nature; Producing and using raw materials and construction materials containing toxic elements exceeding the allowable level according to environmental technical regulations |
11 | Production, import, temporary import, re-export and consumption of substances that deplete the ozone layer |
12 | Destroying and illegally invading natural heritage |
13 | Destroying and invading works, equipment and vehicles serving environmental protection activities |
14 | Abusing positions and powers to violate the law on environmental protection |
