The Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 stipulates patient rights as follows:
1. Right to be respected
- Be well cared for, respected, treated politely and properly with reasonable fees, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, religion, social status, physical condition substance and spirit.
- Your emotional, social, religious and cultural needs are respected.
- Your privacy is respected.
- Right to confidentiality of personal and medical information.
- Receive visitors during your hospital stay.
- Be protected from harm, theft and loss.
2. Right to information
- Have your health condition, treatment options and outcomes explained to you in a language you can understand (with the assistance of an interpreter whenever possible).
- Receive a full explanation of estimated hospital fees before diagnostic tests, treatment or hospitalization.
- Know the identity of your treating physician as well as the names of other members of your health care team.
- Be provided with information about treatment medications, common effects, and potential side effects of medications.
- Be instructed on necessary care after discharge from the hospital.
- Be informed about the process for making complaints, presenting conflicts and disagreements, and expressing compliments and suggestions.
3. Right to participate in treatment decisions
- Decide which family members will or will not participate in discussions about your treatment.
- Requested to seek the opinion of another expert.
- Right to consent or withdraw consent to treatment.
- Right to refuse hospitalization, diagnostic tests or treatment.
- The right to terminate treatment, refuse palliative care, or not continue treatment to prolong life.
- Right to consent or refuse to participate in any research project.
4. Right to medical services
- Get a proper assessment of your health status and pain control.
- Get timely treatment in all emergencies.
- Continuous care.
- Do not be detained or quarantined unless there is a medical indication that you may harm yourself or others.

1. Provide information
- Provide as much information as possible about your current health condition, medical history, hospital stays, treatments performed, allergies, and other relevant details.
- Provide complete and accurate personal information including full name, address, contact phone number and date of birth.
- Notify us of changes in health, and/or medical conditions.
2. Comply with the treatment process
- Follow your prescribed and agreed-upon treatment plan, and follow your health care instructions.
- Ask immediately if you do not understand the diagnosis, care plan or treatment.
- Be responsible for the consequences of your refusing treatment or leaving the hospital premises against your doctor's advice.
- Please notify the hospital if you encounter any problems implementing your treatment plan.
3. Comply with regulations
- Comply with hospital rules and regulations for patients and visitors.
- Be respectful and polite to hospital staff, other patients, and visitors.
- Come to the hospital on time for your appointment or notify in advance when you want to cancel your appointment.
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other patients.
- Responsible for properly preserving and maintaining hospital assets and facilities.
- Fulfill financial obligations to the hospital.
