1. Right to medical examination and treatment
- Receive information and explanations about health status; methods, medical examination and treatment services, prices of medical examination and treatment services; be instructed on how to self-monitor, care for and prevent complications.
- Receive medical examination and treatment using safe methods appropriate to your disease, health condition and the actual conditions of the medical examination and treatment facility.
2. The right to respect honor, protect health and respect privacy in medical examination and treatment
- Respected for age, gender, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, health status, economic conditions, and social status.
- To keep confidential information in medical records and other information about private life that the patient has provided to practitioners during the medical examination and treatment process, unless the patient agrees to share the information according to regulations. provisions of law or cases specified in Clauses 3 and 4, Article 69 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
- Not to be stigmatized, discriminated against, mistreated, physically or sexually abused during medical examination and treatment.
- Not be forced to undergo medical examination or treatment, except for cases of compulsory medical treatment specified in Clause 1, Article 82 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
3. The right to choose in medical examination and treatment
- Choose medical examination and treatment methods after being provided with complete information, explanation, and advice about the disease condition, results, and possible risks, except for the cases specified in Clause 4, Article 40. Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
- Accept or refuse to participate in biomedical research on medical examination and treatment.
4. The right to be provided with information about medical records and medical examination and treatment costs
- To read, view, copy, record medical records and provide a summary of medical records as prescribed in Point d, Clause 4, Article 69 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
- Be provided and explained in detail about payments for medical examination and treatment services upon request.
5. The right to refuse medical examination and treatment and to leave the medical examination and treatment facility
- You can refuse medical examination and treatment but must commit in writing to take responsibility for your refusal after being consulted by the practitioner, except in cases of compulsory medical treatment specified in Clause 1, Article 82. Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
- To leave the medical examination and treatment facility before completing treatment against the practitioner's instructions but must commit in writing to take responsibility for leaving the medical examination and treatment facility, except in cases where Compulsory medical treatment specified in Clause 1, Article 82 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
6. Right to petition and compensation
- Receive recommendations on shortcomings, inadequacies, difficulties, problems and other issues during the medical examination and treatment process.
- Be compensated according to the provisions of Article 102 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023.
7. Exercising the rights of patients who have lost civil act capacity, have difficulty in cognition and behavior control, have limited civil act capacity, patients who are minors, and patients who have no relatives core
- In case the patient is an adult and falls into a state of loss of civil act capacity, has difficulty in cognition, behavior control, limited civil act capacity but has previously had a document If you express your legal wishes regarding medical examination and treatment, it will comply with the patient's wishes.
- In cases where the patient is an adult and falls into a state of loss of civil act capacity, has difficulty in cognition, behavior control, limited civil act capacity, but previously had no legal documents. To express your legitimate wishes for medical examination and treatment, do the following:
+ If there is a representative specified in Points a, b, c and d, Clause 2, Article 8 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 shall comply with the representative's decision;
+ If there is no representative specified in Points a, b, c and d, Clause 2, Article 8 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 shall comply with the decision of the person in charge of the profession or the leader of the medical examination and treatment facility.
- In case the patient is a minor, proceed as follows:
+ If there is a representative specified in Points c and d, Clause 2, Article 8 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 shall comply with the representative's decision;
+ If there is no representative specified in Points c and d, Clause 2, Article 8 Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023 shall comply with the decision of the person in charge
