List of environmental protection activities that are eligible for incentives and support
In an effort to protect the environment and promote sustainable development, many environmental protection activities have been given incentives and support by the government. These incentives not only help encourage organizations and individuals to participate in environmental protection activities but also contribute to protecting natural resources and minimizing negative impacts on the ecosystem. This article will provide detailed information on the list of environmental protection activities that are entitled to incentives and support, helping you better understand the current incentive policies.
Subjects eligible for incentives and support include organizations and individuals operating in the fields of investment in environmental protection works, production, business and provision of services related to environmental protection according to the list specified in Appendix XXX attached to Decree 08/2022/ND-CP.
The detailed list of activities that are given incentives and support for environmental protection is as follows:
Treatment and disposal of solid waste (garbage).
Collection of solid waste (garbage).
Wastewater collection and treatment.
Recycle or reuse waste.
Enterprises producing and providing technology, equipment, products and services to meet environmental protection requirements, including:
Providing waste treatment technology combined with energy regeneration, energy saving technology that is evaluated, appraised or commented on according to regulations on technology transfer.
Production of clean energy, renewable energy, environmental monitoring equipment.
Manufacturing and supplying domestic wastewater treatment equipment for household-scale production and business establishments; environmentally friendly products and services certified by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment according to the Vietnam Ecolabel.
Products are manufactured from recycling and waste treatment activities that meet product quality regulations.
Manufacture of public transport vehicles, except public transport vehicles using oil; manufacture of transport vehicles using electricity, renewable energy, low fuel consumption, low or no emissions; provision of public transport services using electricity, clean fuel, renewable fuel.
Environmental protection activities are not business investment activities, including:
Innovate technology, renovate and upgrade waste treatment facilities according to the roadmap issued by competent state agencies in accordance with regulations on environmental protection.
Relocate households out of concentrated production, business, service areas and industrial clusters.
Relocate operating facilities to meet environmental safety distances or implement a roadmap issued by competent state agencies in accordance with environmental protection regulations.
Invest in developing renewable natural capital, providing natural ecosystem services, and protecting natural heritage.
Research and develop a system to collect and treat plastic waste floating in the sea and ocean.
Treatment and improvement of the environment of domestic solid waste landfills.
