According to Article 42 of the Law on Consumer Protection 2023, a continuous service provision contract is regulated as follows:
1. The contract for continuous service provision must be made in writing and a copy provided to the consumer.
2. A standard contract for continuous service provision must contain the contents specified in Clause 3, Article 23 of this Law and the following contents:
a) Name, address, telephone number, other contact methods (if any) of the business organization, individual or representative of the business organization or individual in Vietnam (if any);
b) Description of the services provided;
c) Time and duration of service provision;
d) Accurate and complete information on fees, charges, methods of charging, possible costs and general transaction conditions applied in the process of providing services to consumers;
d) Notify consumers about paying fees to continue using the service in the agreed manner at least 07 working days before the service expiration date;
e) Notify the consumer of the contract termination date in the agreed manner at least 07 working days before the contract termination date.
3. Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the consumer has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract for continuous service provision at any time and notify the service provider. In the event that the consumer unilaterally terminates the contract, the consumer shall only be required to pay for the service he/she has used.
