This article provides detailed information on consumer protection regulations related to product, goods, components and accessories warranties. The article also explains the rights and obligations of both consumers and suppliers during the warranty period, thereby supporting you in exercising your consumer rights effectively and legally.
According to Article 30 of the Law on Consumer Protection, the warranty of products, goods, components and accessories is regulated as follows:
1. Products, goods, components and accessories are warranted according to the agreement of the parties or are required to be warranted according to the provisions of law.
2. In case products, goods, components, and accessories are under warranty, business organizations and individuals have the following responsibilities:
a) Publicly announce the warranty policy. The warranty policy includes the following main contents: time, period of application, content, scope, method of warranty implementation and cases of warranty liability exclusion of business organizations and individuals;
b) Accurately and fully perform warranty responsibilities for products, goods, components and accessories provided by the company;
c) Provide consumers with a warranty acceptance document or other equivalent form of warranty acceptance, clearly stating the warranty implementation period. The warranty implementation period is not included in the warranty period of products, goods, components, and accessories.
In case the business organization or individual replaces components or accessories, the warranty period for those components or accessories will be recalculated from the time of replacement of the components or accessories.
In case a business organization or individual exchanges a new product or goods, the warranty period of that product or goods will be recalculated from the time of exchange;
d) Provide consumers with similar products, goods, components, and accessories for temporary use or have a suitable settlement form according to the agreement between the consumer and the business organization or individual during the warranty period;
d) Exchange similar new products, goods, components, accessories or recall products, goods, components, accessories and refund consumers in case the warranty period expires without repair or error correction or in case the product, goods, components, accessories have been warranted 3 times or more during the warranty period but the error still cannot be corrected;
e) Bear the costs of repairing and transporting products, goods, components and accessories from the consumer's residence or the place of use of the products, goods, components and accessories to the warranty location and from the warranty location to the consumer's residence or the place of use of the products, goods, components and accessories;
g) Be responsible for the warranty of products, goods, components and accessories for consumers, even in cases where another organization or individual is authorized or hired to perform the warranty.
