Article 20 of the Law on Consumer Protection 2023 stipulates that the checking, editing, updating, canceling, transferring, and stopping the transfer of consumer information is carried out as follows:
1. Consumers have the right to request business organizations and individuals to check, edit, update, cancel, transfer or stop transferring their information to third parties.
2. Business organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing consumer requests as prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article or providing consumers with tools and information to do so themselves in accordance with the provisions of law.
3. Business organizations and individuals must destroy consumer information upon the expiration of the storage period as prescribed in Point c, Clause 1, Article 16 of this Law or other relevant legal provisions.
