Based on Article 2 of Decree No. 16/2020/NĐ-CP on legalization of consular activities and translation of documents in the naturalization dossier into Vietnamese as follows:
Documents in applications for entry into, return to, cessation of Vietnamese nationality and handling other nationality matters by competent authorities of foreign countries must be legalized, except for cases exempted from legalization under Vietnamese laws or international treaties to which Vietnam is a party.
Foreign documents in the naturalization dossier must be translated into Vietnamese; the translation must be notarized or authenticated by the signature of the translator in accordance with Vietnamese law.
Therefore, when preparing foreign documents in the naturalization dossier, you must translate those documents into Vietnamese, and the translation must be notarized or authenticated by the signature of the translator in accordance with Vietnamese law.
