This article provides detailed instructions on the process of changing the head office address of a joint stock company. From preparing documents, submitting applications to receiving approval from the competent authorities, every step is clearly described to help businesses carry out this process smoothly and effectively.

1. Regulations on request time

A joint stock company must promptly register a change of its head office address within 10 days from the date of change.

Before registering to change the head office address to a district, province, or centrally-run city other than the head office, resulting in a change in the managing tax authority, the company must carry out procedures with the directly managing tax authority related to the change of location according to the provisions of tax law (see details in the work "Change of tax registration information").

2. Profile components:

(1) Notice of change in business registration content (Appendix II-1 form issued with Circular 01/2021/TT-BKHĐT).

(2) Decision of the general meeting of shareholders on changing the company's headquarters address.

(3) Valid copy of Minutes of the shareholders' meeting on change of company headquarters address.

(4) Authorization document for the person submitting the application and receiving the results if he/she is not the legal representative. This document does not need to be notarized or authenticated.

(5) A valid copy of one of the following personal identification documents of the person authorized to carry out the procedure (if any):

- For Vietnamese citizens: Valid Citizen Identification Card or National Identity Card or Vietnamese Passport.

- For foreigners: Valid foreign passport or document in lieu of a valid foreign passport.

3. Where to submit application

Business Registration Office - Department of Planning and Investment where the company is registered (In case of changing the company's head office address to another province or centrally-run city where the company is registered, the application must be sent to the Business Registration Office where the new head office is planned to be located).

4. Processing time:

Within 03 (three) working days from receipt of valid documents.
