1. Procedures for making a common passport online through the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security

Step 1: Access the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security via the linkhttps://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn/

Step 2: Log in to the national public service account

Step 3: Log in to the account provided by the national public service portal

Citizens are issued passports from the second time.

Step 4: Select the item "Submit online application"

Step 5: Choose the public service to perform

Citizens in the search box on the screen enter the phrase "Passport". Then select the item "Search"

Step 6: Choose the corresponding common passport level for the service to be performed

Citizens choose the corresponding procedure set according to their needs:

- Submit documents to the immigration management agency at the provincial level (place of permanent residence, temporary residence or convenient location): Citizens issued passports for the first time, issued passports from the second time;

- Submit documents to the central level (Immigration Management Department in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

Note:

Citizens can choose to receive passports at the "Receiving registration documents" section in 2 ways:

- Receive directly;

- Receive via post office;

For information on file upload capacity, it should not exceed 6MB/1 file

Step 7: Choose the item "Submit documents"

Step 8: Choose the appropriate "Competent authority to handle the file" and then select "Agree and continue"

Step 9: Submit online documents

Citizens at the "online application" section update and upload corresponding photos and information

Step 10: Submit documents

3.2. Procedures for making a common passport online through the Vietnam Immigration Information Portal

Step 1:Citizens apply for a passport through the linkhttps://hochieu.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/

Step 2: Declare information on the application for a passport

At the homepage, click on the box "Select this item to declare information on the application for a passport"

Step 3: Fill out the declaration form

Step 4: Submit the declaration form

Citizens select to submit the declaration form and receive the Declaration Form Number

Note:When receiving the declaration form number, citizens must go to the registration office to submit documents and provide the declaration form number.
