Ha Nam is a province famous for spiritual tourism. There are many temples, pagodas, and relic sites associated with many old stories that have been passed down to this day. Based on folk tales, Quan Lon Lanh Giang Temple is currently a place of worship for the Three Water Gods (three generals from the Hung King era) and Princess Tien Dung and her husband Chu Dong Tu.

Every year, Quan Tam Temple in Lanh Giang District organizes two major festivals that attract a large number of visitors. The first one is from June 2 to 5 of the lunar calendar and the second one is on August 20 of the lunar calendar. The reason why Lanh Giang Temple Festival is held during this time is because this is the season when the Red River has abundant water, and people pray to the water god to protect and help the weather be favorable.

The Lanh Giang Temple Festival is held to commemorate the merits of the three water gods who assisted King Hung in defending the country and to show gratitude to Princess Tien Dung and her husband. To enter the temple, visitors need to prepare offerings to Lanh Giang Temple and learn about the Lanh Giang Temple prayer. Besides the ceremony and festival, many exciting activities await visitors to Lanh Giang Temple to experience such as: Chau Van singing; lion and dragon dance; wrestling; human chess; cockfighting; rowing competition on the Red River;...

Visitors to Lanh Giang Temple are all impressed by the majestic and massive architecture here. The Tam Quan gate of the temple is built in the style of eight-roofed overlapping, creating a sense of openness and grandeur. In particular, the top of the roof is beautifully carved with a dragon head, interwoven with harmonious moon and leaf motifs. In front of the Tam Quan gate of Lanh Giang Temple is a crescent-shaped lake, the calm blue water of the lake is decorated with bright red lotus flowers. In the middle of the lake is a stupa and a bridge connecting to the temple gate hidden under the shade of an old banyan tree, creating an extremely poetic scene.
