Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province, Vietnam has a rugged terrain and is especially famous for the existence of Devil's Face Mountain - a mountain that has become legendary and terrified foreign invaders. Since ancient times, Chi Lang has had an important position as the main gateway to the North of the country, and thanks to the harsh terrain, our ancestors have prevented invasions from the North.

Despite many failures, the enemy considered this as "a dead end with no way out". Local people still remember the terrifying saying: "Quy Mon Quan, ten people go, one person returns", meaning that only one in ten people who go through Quy Mon can return.

Devil's Face Mountain is located on Cai Kinh mountain range, about 100m from the current Chi Lang Pass. It has the shape of a devil's face, so it is called Devil's Face Mountain.

The most obvious demon face is two deep holes like eyes, looking down at the Thuong River, with a wide mouth forming a deep black cave, and two noses like two pipe bowls.

Because it is Devil's Face Mountain, no one dares to climb it because it is considered disrespectful to the mountain. What is special is that the people here do not consider the mountain a symbol of evil, but a symbol that protects their peaceful life.

According to historical books, when the enemy general Lieu Thang passed through Chi Lang Pass on a luxurious palanquin, he lifted the palanquin curtain and pointed at Devil's Face Mountain, declaring: "If I cannot conquer the South, after conquering this land, I will never see your face again! Generals, look, my words are the will of heaven, the devil's face has distorted, the devil is crying for the destruction of the Lam Son enemy!"

Before he could finish speaking, a thunderous laughter rang out from Devil Face Mountain, shaking the heavens and earth. Liu Sheng screamed in fear before his life left his body. This was also the place where countless foreign invaders were buried.

Today, Devil's Face Mountain attracts many tourists, and they hear many legends about this strange mountain.
